How Therapy Works
Frequency: Therapy works best through a commitment to regular weekly 50-minute sessions. There are times we may meet more or less frequently depending on your needs.
How Long Does Therapy Take? The duration of therapy varies by individual. Termination most often occurs when client and therapist feel that the therapy goals have been met.
Online or In Person? I see clients either in person at my Hermosa Beach office or online via secure HIPAA-compliant teletherapy. It’s a personal preference, and some people prefer being face to face while others prefer the convenience of meeting online.
Payment & Policies
Payment: My fee is $250 per 50-minute session. I do reserve some spots for reduced fee. If you are in need of a sliding scale, please reach out to discuss with me. I accept cash, check or credit card (preferred). Payment is collected at the end of each session.
Insurance: I am an out-of-network provider. Many insurers offer out-of-network mental health benefits, with rates varying by carrier and plan. I recommend you contact your insurer to inquire about your specific coverage, including any deductibles that first need to be met. If you are eligible for insurance reimbursement, I can provide you with a monthly superbill to submit independently. Please note that insurers require a mental health diagnosis in order to process claims.
Cancellation Policy: With ample notice, I am happy to be flexible and accommodate changing schedules. However, because I set aside time for my clients each week, late cancellations prevent others from being able to reschedule as well. As such, I adhere to a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. Late cancellations and no shows will result in a full charge for the hour.
